All About Me
Hey there, I'm Jenna! I am a New York City-based actor, singer, and dancer!
I grew up in rural Iowa singing in school choir and dancing in competitions on the weekends. I can be seen for approximately two seconds in one episode of Dance Moms (the one with the "Kick Me" sign...if you know, you know).
I discovered my love for Musical Theater at the end of high school, and at the time worked at the local newspaper in my hometown where I wrote articles that were published in papers across Iowa.
Though I committed to Purdue University to study Professional Writing, I spent my year there filming dance calls in the common room and singing Zoom callbacks in my shared dorm room.
I transferred to The Hartt School where I spent four years soaking up every thing I could and building an extremely versatile resume--from Fosse, to Shakespeare, to soprano!
Since graduating, I have been lucky enough to take on some great roles--Sandra Bloom in Big Fish, Laurey in Oklahoma!, and I recently understudied Sarah in Guys and Dolls while having a blast as a Hot Box Dancer.
I am still a journalist at heart: I love to tell people's stories and think theater is the most effective and evocative way to do so. I strive to bring truth, humor, and an open heart into every space I enter.
