All About Me
I grew up in rural Iowa singing in school choir and dancing in competitions on the weekends. I can be seen for approximately two seconds in one episode of Dance Moms (the one with the "Kick Me" sign...if you know you know).
I discovered my love for Musical Theater at the end of high school, and at the time worked at the local newspaper in my hometown where I wrote articles that were published in papers across Iowa.
Though I committed to Purdue University to study Professional Writing,
I spent a lot of time filming dance calls in the common room and singing Zoom callbacks in my shared dorm room.
I transferred to The Hartt School where I spent four years soaking up every single thing I could and building an extremely versatile resume--from Fosse, to Shakespeare, to soprano!
In the span of a couple months, I was lucky enough to take on two dream roles! For my final show at Hartt, I played Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls, and I traveled back to Iowa (GO HAWKS) to play Sandra Bloom in Big Fish at Cedar Summerstock!
I then did a 180 from Iowa life and moved to New York City, where I am based!
I am an assured, wise- beyond-her-years performer with a well-rounded set of skills. I am ambitious and determined to tell a variety of stories that inspire audiences to challenge the way they think or provide an entertaining escape through singing, acting, and dancing.
When I'm not performing, I am a pretty excellent crafter! Lately, I've been very into making beaded key-chains and charms with fishing wire and beads. Super cool.
